The core of the project is the Concepts and the Solutions databases.
The Concepts database includes every topic, concept and technique from:
Basic Mathematics-Pre-Algebra
Algebra (Basic, Intermediate & Advanced)
Geometry (Plane & Solid)
Trigonometry
Analytic Geometry
Pre-Calculus
Calculus (AP, I, II & III)
Linear Algebra
Ordinary Differential Equations
Probability & Statistics (Calculus-based)
The primary aims are to provide many more examples and much more detail than a textbook or classroom environment would have space or time for. Concepts are explained and illustrated from different perspectives and connections between one course and another are explored. Students differ in the ways that they understand concepts, so ideas are often presented graphically, in charts, analytically or in other ways, where appropriate.
The Solutions database will consist of 250,000-500,000+ problems, solved in detail, with detailed illustrations, where appropriate. This database will include problem solutions from all of the courses in the Concepts database, plus detailed solutions of the Daily Brain Teaser problems.
Each step and technique in a solution is explained, elaborating on what was done and why.
Solutions include linked cross references to the Concepts database, if formulas, identities or theorems are applied.
Many problems are solved using more than one approach.
Emphasis is placed on helping students to understand the rationale of using particular methods and approaches, rather than just memorizing procedures.
the hundreds of thousands of problem solutions for the Solutions database.
Claim Your Solution Program
Donors can select and claim individual problems from one or more of the subjects below to sponsor solution(s):
Basic Mathematics-Pre-Algebra
Algebra (Basic, Intermediate & Advanced)
Geometry (Plane & Solid)
Trigonometry
Analytic Geometry
Pre-Calculus
Calculus (AP, I, II & III)
Linear Algebra
Ordinary Differential Equations
Probability & Statistics (Calculus-based)
Along with your donation, you can state that you want a certain number of random problems solved.
Soon, there will be a page displaying specific problems, arranged by subject, whose solution(s) you can claim.
Once a solution has been claimed, a tag will be attached that says something like: “Claimed: This solution was donated by Amy Bermar.” As a donor, you can select any of the subjects that you like, but if you want your solution(s) to be seen and used more often, select from Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus or Calculus.
Please donate to PayPal.me/MathDBase or Donorbox today. Every dollar helps. Thank you!
